I was homeless and suffering from PTSD
and ADHD and anxiety. I was sent to live at TLC, Transitional Living Center. They assign me a case manager name
Kelly Erickson, I got there crying and scared and Ms Kelly hugged me and told me I would be ok and that she would take good care of me. I was giving love by Ms Kelly in a way my own family never did. I didn't have money, I didn't have clothes, I came to TLC with nothing. Ms Kelly made sure I always had soap, toothpaste, lotion for my dry skin, shampoo and conditioner. And she also helped me to get snap assistance, and she gave me clothes. It's not the material things that she gave me, that healed me one day at a time. What healed me, was her love, her kind words, her words of wisdom. Ms Kelly has many clients and she works many hours, some times she looks tired and stressed and I wish I could do something nice for her. I do tell her thank you every day and that I will never forget the unconditional love she gave me that my own family never did. I've been here for one year and I'm waiting for my own place, Ms Kelly is making sure I live somewhere affordable and save. When it's time for me to leave I will miss seeing Ms Kelly every day.
Oh, Ms Kelly also helped me go back to school. I'm a 60 year old woman trying to get my GED, and learn everything I can about my mental health so that I can get better one day at a time. Ms Kelly has helped me with my health and life and I'm for ever grateful to her.
