Fatimah is a researcher, changemaker, and advocate who uses her interest in health equity and burning passion for entrepreneurship to uplift vulnerable communities. She founded a 501(c)3 nonprofit, SPARKHope, which is the largest youth health equity initiative in the state of Arizona, to provide Gen Z with a platform to use their voice and improve health outcomes. In addition, she is working closely with Maricopa County Public Health Department and Scottsdale government, as a member of the substance abuse coalition and empowered leaders program, and is the youngest member of the Arizona Public Health Association, where she works with other advocates to draft legislation, addressing the needs of her Arizona community. Additionally she is Arizona’s 18 under 18, State Champion of Education, Youngest Recipient of the Stella Kiarie Innovation in Health Equity Award (a recognition typically received by politicians, professors, or MD physicians), published author at Johns Hopkins, MIT, and Harvard, owner of a 2 million dollar business, and the ambassador to the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. She is committed to addressing global health disparities and works with Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health to pass legislation to prevent the sale of over-the-counter diet pills to minors. Her commitment to entrepreneurship to improve health outcomes is truly inspiring!
