I would like to award my dad, Nick Mavrostomos, the award of best father. For as long as I can remember, my dad has been my best friend and greatest support system. From coaching every little league team I was a part up to now helping me navigate the beginning of my adult life, I truly cannot fathom life without him. He is the first person I want to call when I have news, good or bad, and is always there to guide me. My dad has helped me navigate through some of the most difficult times in my life with a smile on his face and nothing but positivity and is the only reason that I have been able to manage my health issues over the past years. No matter what, he has never given up on me and I want to do anything I can to keep him proud and show him how much I appreciate the life he gave me. I do not believe that my dad needed this award to earn the title in my eyes, but I am happy to tell him how thankful and appreciative I am of him every day. I cannot wait to continue in my life making him and my mom proud as well, and giving back to them by any means possible.
