Sophie set up her own group on LinkedIn back in 2022 called Heart Health in Business. She did this after losing her dad to cardiac arrest in 2019. Her granddad died of a heart attack when she was young and her grandmother from high blood pressure last year. Sophie has successfully fundraised over £700, donated 3 defibrillators to different areas and around £200 after organising a Go Red Day in her JLR office this Feb. She has been on the news, teaching CPR, educating others and bringing awareness of heart health to businesses like JLR. Sophie has won Campaign of the Year at her university and a certificate of recognition by the British Citizen Awards. Her group raised awareness of CPR, heart disease prevention and AED’s. This is in memory of the family members she has lost. She suffers PTSD from seeing her dad pass away and is doing something positive with her grief.
