step 1

enjoy yourself!

Take some time to enjoy feeling appreciated! Take some photos of yourself with the award or make a little video.. Show it to your friends and family, place it on your kitchen table, double it on your bike, take it to a drive-in movie. It’s really up to you - you’ve earned it by being awesome!
step 2

share your experience

Each Awesome Award is special and has a unique name. Enter the name of your award and share any pictures or videos that you’ve captured. Write a few words about your experience of winning an Awesome Award!
step 3

pay it forward

After a week or so, think back to the energy and excitement that you felt when you received the award - it’s now time to pass it on. Think about the awesome people you know - maybe they’ve made a difference in your life, or improved the lives of others. Narrow it down to one person who is doing something awesome that you would like to recognize and celebrate, then start planning your presentation.

making your presentation

Presenting your Awesome Award in a unique and memorable way is part of what makes you awesome! This is your opportunity to celebrate an amazing person and make them feel special. Need some ideas? Visit our awesome ideas section.

When you’re ready, find that person and let them know how awesome they really are! Maybe you’ve planned a surprise or a special event or a quiet ceremony? Whatever you choose to do, be sure to capture photos or videos of your award presentation - ask a friend to help if you need to. Then come back to this site and log your presentation - show who you presented the award to and why. You can upload images or video as well. If you use Twitter or Instagram, use the hashtag #AwesomeAwards to log your experience and presentation.

Once you’ve bestowed your Awesome Awards to the next person and logged your experience, your mission has been accomplished - you have passed on the Awesome Award and become a part of it’s amazing journey.

  1. Speak from your heart - this is the most important thing to remember.
  2. Mention specific qualities or traits or actions that you appreciate and value.
  3. Make eye contact - recognition is about communicating.
  4. Be generous - give your praise freely, don’t drive with the brakes on.
  5. Be thoughtful - think about what you’re going to say and how you’re going to say it. Is it a quiet ceremony, a serenade or a flash mob? Have fun with it!
